EVENTS
Thanks to everyone who attended the open house and ribbon cutting at our new satellite office located at 16 North Market Street in Cortez. We are excited to have another location to better serve our customers.
Local author Lowell Volk signed copies of his book, The Taylors’ Civil War

On October 21st Farmers hosted an Open House in honor of our 90th Anniversary. Customers stopped by throughout the day, and in the afternoon the students from Pleasant View Elementary came to visit. Bessie White took them on a tour of the museum and they got to see the equipment and plant facilities and learn about the phone company. It was a lot of fun for everyone!
In what we hope will become an annual event, Farmers Telephone Company and Office Outpost co-sponsored Technology Days. The purpose of the two-day event was to introduce local businesses to new technology, to present ideas for improving internet marketing and customer relations management, and to provide information about services and opportunities that will soon be available in Cortez.
We kicked off Technology Days with an After Hours Social held at Office Outpost on Main Street in Cortez. There was a great turnout and we gave away some nice door prizes. Day Two was a series of workshops with information on the City of Cortez’s upcoming fiber optic network and the benefits it will bring to local businesses, learning opportunities available at Southwest Colorado Community College, how and why to use social networking to promote your business, and information on the technology available to help you streamline customer relationship management.
Farmers Telephone Company values its customers and stockholders. To show our appreciation, we host an annual picnic:
Every year, Farmers honors the company's customers by celebrating with great food, great conversation, and music by the acclaimed Bar D Wranglers.
